In addition, ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium, a group of colleges and universities dedicated to helping servicemembers and their families earn college degrees. We’re also a member of the Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP), which allows soon-to-enlist or currently enlisted military personnel to enroll in and complete college courses while they continue their service commitments.

Aside from traditional on-campus programs, ourÌýCollege of Professional and Continuing StudiesÌýoffers dozens of graduate and undergraduate degree programs designed for working adults. You can attend classes on campus in the evenings or on weekends, take 100 percent online courses from anywhere you have an internet connection or participate in blended classes, which give you an experience in both learning environments.

Our admissions, financial aid and registrar staff members have expertise in military education benefits offered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We can also help you determine if any past college education or any of your military training or service could be transferred into ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ and used to fulfill program requirements.

Yellow RibbonSorting through the many types of veteran education benefits offered by the VA, determining which ones you are eligible for and what they can be used for might seem overwhelming. We’re here to make the process easier. We’ll thoroughly explain your options and work to make the financial aid process easier to understand.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ is aÌýYellow Ribbon School, which means eligible veteran and military students might have access to additional funds that could cover tuition, room and board, study abroad and other costs associated with an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Student Services: How We Support our Students Who’ve Served

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ’s Veterans Resource Center, along with campus community partners, offers career development services, information on local military agencies and access to VA and related resources. The center also hosts a range of social and educational events throughout the year, including bimonthly visits from a liaison at the Mental Health Association of Nassau County’s Veterans Health Alliance of Long Island.

The people at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ have a way of letting you know that they want you to be the best…They have high standards; you have to do well in your classes in order to graduate. They tell you what is required, and then they help you do it. The mentors and advisers know you, and they go out of their way to help you—far beyond what you’d expect.
